The wait is over!

Good morning crafters!

TGIF! Right? The project that I've been working on is being given to my friend Kirstin tonight as her "moving" gift. She is leaving me and moving to Dallas but I guess that just calls for more road trips! So last weekend when we had our girls weekend we stopped at Bucee's and saw these really cute frames and Kirstin took a pic and showed it to me and said "I'm not paying $50 dollars for this, can you make this?" and I course said "YES!" I really had no idea what I was about to get myself into, but I think it turned out pretty darn CUTE! Not bad for my first run!

Well, I won't keep ya'll waiting any longer! Here it is and how I made it!

Step One - Gathered what I needed and set it out!

Step Two - Using brown paint, I painted the entire frame with just one coat! For the cross I bought them pre-cut at Michaels and put three of them together. Then also had a stamp that looked like iron work and just stamped it onto the cross with the brown paint and for the edges I just using some more brown paint all the way around!

Step Three - Adhered all the pretty stones with a hot glue gun and it worked well for me! Now it is finished! Isn't it so pretty?

Step Four - Wrapped it up of course! You don't want to spoil the surprise!

Have a FABULOUS FRIDAY all!

You're me Lucky Charm!

I know its another late evening, but it seems as though this is the only time I can post lately! Hope everyone had a wonderful Thursday! I am so looking forward to the weekend!

Lily, my English Bulldog has decided that she be tucked into bed every night now... my goodness this dog is spoiled, lol! But hey since I don't have any kids to spoil yet, might as well be her!

My big project I've been working on will be posted tomorrow so be watching! As for now here is a card I made for my boss at work and there is a little bit of a story behind it. About 17 years ago, she met her friend on St. Patrick's Day and they quickly become great friends! And every year since then they get together on St. Patrick's Day and exchange cards! How cool is that? This year she came to me to make the special card so here is what I came up with:

More to come...

I know I said I was going to post on Wednesday, but my power was out at our house for nearly 5 hours. There was 83K without power in my city yesterday cause of a down transmission line.

Been working on a special request for a gal I work with and it's looking so CUTE! I will DEFINITELY post it tomorrow! I should also have plenty of time this weekend to do a couple more projects!

So don't worry, lots of creativity coming your way! Good night all!

Superbowl Sunday!

Good evening everyone!

I've enjoyed the day... neither a Steelers fan or a Green Bay packers fan so I decided to root for the BEST COMMERCIAL tonight, lol. My favorite was probably the Doritos commercial with the pug running towards the 'glass door' and the girl was worrried about the dog getting hurt and it turns out that the guy holding the bag of doritos got creamed. My 2nd pic would probably be the Kroger/Nolan Ryan one!

Anyways, before the kickoff I made some delicious peanut butter bars to take to a friends house and just wanted to share them with everyone! And best of all, I used my Cricut for these and they were so much fun!

Supplies:
Plantin School Book Cart (Circle  cut @ 2")
Printed Team Logos
Green &Yellow Textured Cardstock
ATG gun
Toothpicks

Have a GREAT night and congrats to all the Packers fans!

In other news, I'm thinking about having my first ever booth at a local craft show! What do you think? If anyone has any suggestions or pointers for me, I'd love the feedback!
