Let's Cricut

Hi all!

Found out about this from Robin at Paper Pizazz Creations. Let's Cricut is a new website that was just launced this past weekend. It is just a place where you can be inspired and inspire others with your Cricut creativity. You can also discuss various topics with other crafters on their forum.

It is free to register so hop on over to Let's Cricut and start today! I'd be happy if you put me (welchcreations) down as the referral when registering. This is just another great way to share all of our  creative abilities!

Hope you all can go and check it out! I promise I will have more projects up this week, just been busy working. Have a GREAT Monday!

My 2nd LOVE!

Good evening all!

Tyson wanted some sweets, so I've baked him some... maybe too much! I love being in the kitchen just as much as crafting! I also made use of my new cartridge... just see the decorated cupcakes towards the end of this blog!

My famous Chocolate Chip cookies (And yes, I made these myself!):

Chocolate Cookies and a few cupcakes!:

And finally, decorated cupcakes using one of the cupcake wrappers from the Cindy Loo Cart:

Will definitely have some more Cricut projects coming soon. If anyone would like any of the cookie recipes, just leave me a comment with a way to reach ya! Have a GREAT Saturday!

Color Challenge

Good morning! I'm really loving these Wacky Wednesday challenges over at More Than Favors, they are just so much FUN! I've gone ahead and made another card... this is probably my favorite one so far.

Here it is!

Supplies:
Brown Cardstock from DCWV (Card size is 4 1/4" x 6 1/4")
Patterned, Green & Pink Paper from g.c.d designs (Striped paper is 4" x 6")
Four Legged Friends Cart - Mouse cut at 3"
I Look Up To You! Stamp - Big Lots
Flower Embellishment - K & Company
Pink Ribbon & Martha Stewart Verdelite Glitter
Color Box Pigment Brush Pad (Brown)
ATG gun, Glue & Pop Dots, Quick Dry Adhesive

FUN TRICK I USED: I tore the edges of the pink and green paper that is in the center of the card, then just inked the edges with some Brown Color Box ink. It just added a little character to the card, so sweet!

Also, The Busy Bug is giving away this GREAT cartridge (shown below) and it works with any cricut machine. All you have to do is go leave a comment on her post, post this on your blog and be sure to link back to her site!

Have a GREAT Wednesday everyone! Hope you all enjoy!

My Cuttlebug V2 is here!

Hi all!

Things have been busy, so haven't had much time for posting. Found out that my husband (Tyson) leaves on the 6th for Egypt and will be gone for 5 weeks, then after that starts the regular 28-28 rotation. But the good news is that when he's home he will be off those 28 days!

So my Cuttlebug came in today and I am so excited about it! I know I'm a little behind the times in the cricut world, but I'm so happy its finally here! Am working on some projects and will post them later this weekend!

I've also been trying to get my new custom background design onto my blog and have been having a little bit of technical difficulties... hopefully I will get it up soon!

Hope everyone is enjoying their Friday evening! I should have plenty of time to work on projects this weekend, so just keep an eye out!

Miss Lily!

What a great day so far! Got my hour workout in and feeling good!

I've decided that its time to introduce ya'll to my English Bulldog Lily! Had a empty picture frame just laying around the house so I thought I'd make something out of it. I used yellow because I thought it brought out her shining personality a bit!

Now the wagon you see in the picture no longer has wheels on it... she got rid of them pretty quickly!

Lily sending ya'll some love:

Tomorrow is girls night with my friend Kirstin and I'm hoping I can entice her into doing a fun project with me! Will let ya'll know how it pans out... Have a GREAT day!

Enjoy!

Happy Sunday!

Good morning all! Hope everyone is enjoying their Sunday!

Today I've decided to change things up a bit, and make a quick and easy vinyl project! I was at the Dollar Tree yesterday and picked up a plain white ceramic plate to use for today! I'm using the Tie the Knot cartridge, one of my favorites!

To start out make sure you clean the surface you will be applying the vinyl to and then do some practice cuts with regular cardstock or paper. I began on pg. 35 (Dove2), selected the Monogram creative features key and cut it at 4.5" with brown cricut vinyl. Next onto pg. 38 (Ivy), deselected the Monogram feature, hit shift and cut it at 1.5". Did the same on pg. 28 (Floursh4) and finally changed my size to 2" for my last cut from pg. 56 (JstMried) with shift on.

Very easy to put together... once it's done cutting, apply transfer tape and transfer it! Using a vinyl tool, just rub the image(s) down and slowly peel off in a "rocking motion."

Finished Project!:

Be back with another post tomorrow! Enjoy!
