One crazy week!

It's been one crazy week! I put in my 2 weeks at the cooking school and they decided to just let me go. It just felt like a slap in the face since I've worked there for 3 years. No hard feelings, just a little upset about the situation.

But it's a new day and I'm moving forward to bigger and greater things! Am hoping to go full time at the graphics company, which will be good. Today we got a new envelope printer and its very nice! Love it!

I have finally cleaned up my craft room a bit, but still need to do some organizing. Have made a few more things just haven't had the time to get any snap shots of them yet. Will get those posted asap though.

Hope ya'll are doing well and have a terrific thursday! Happy Crafting!

Fancy Favor Box

Don't forget to join in on my challenge! Last day to enter is this Thursday! Click here

Am back from my weekend and on the way back home we were able to go through Bastrop and see the fire damage. The ground is just covered in ashes and the homes are completely destroyed, it was so sad to see. Still praying for all those affected by this horrific wildfire.

I received my new Stampin Up order, my Pink By Design stamp of the month set and some more adhesive on my doorstep so that was certainly a nice surprise! So needless to say, I will be busy in my craftroom, YAY!

One of my favorite things I got was the "Fancy Favor Box" Die for my Big Shot! It's so easy to assemble and fun to play around with! Can't wait to make lots of fun gift bags with it!

Here's my first bag I made, which I got this idea from mkkimber on YouTube. So the stamp I used for this was "you inspire me" which I thought was very fitting cause I was very inspired!

As always, enjoy!

The Gift of Friendship

Morning all!

Click here if your looking for my September Challenge.

I haven't felt too good cause of all the smoke from one of the wildfires that's about 30 minutes from us. I can't even imagine what those in Bastrop are going through, my heart goes out to all of them. My family used to own some property out in Bastrop, which is completely destroyed now. My mom also works with a few people from there and they have all lost their homes. Not sure if there is any rain on the horizon, but we sure need it! Praying for all those families, firefighters, volunteers  and anyone else affected by the fires.

I'm actually heading that way this evening as my sister is having her sweet 16 tomorrow. Hopefully I can make it into Austin. My wonderful grandma placed an order with me for some framed quotes so just wanted to share what I made with ya'll. She wanted it to have mountains and water in it if possible and some light blue.

Here's everything before being put together:

And here is the finished frame!

I probably won't be able to post until Monday evening since I will be out of town. Don't forget to join in on my challenge, I'm giving away a great Cricut cart! Have a Fabulous Friday all!

Purse Photo Frame/ Trinket Box

Click here if your looking for my September Challenge.

The hubby came home today and it's so nice to not have an empty house anymore! Loving it! Went to one of my favorite craft stores the other day to do a little shopping and found a cute little purse frame that I thought I could be crafty with! This also makes a great trinket box or possible a jewelry box... so many great uses!

Ready, Set, Paint!

Step One - Apply an antique white to the front. (Not sure why I did this step because in the end I used some wonderful pattern paper on the front!)

Step Two - Paint the inside, back and sides of the purse with a dark color.

Step Three - Put the handle back on and add whatever embellishment(s) your prefer. (I used a lovely Martha Stewart Ribbon) That's it, your done!

As always enjoy!

The great outdoors!

Click here if your looking for my September Challenge.

Evening all!

Hope ya'll have enjoyed your Labor Day weekend! It's so nice to just have some time off to relax and enjoy! I was able to get the house cleaned and learn a new song on guitar! The hubby comes home on Tuesday and can't wait!

Since I've been making a lot of cards lately, I wanted to change it up a bit. How bout a layout? I really do enjoy scrapbooking, am just bad about not getting my pictures printed, lol. My goal for this Fall is to get back into making layouts!

Back in college, the Palo Duro Canyon was just 10 miles away so we got to visit it frequently and I sure do miss it. It is just beautiful! So here's a layout I made of us at this wonderful canyon... brings back so many great memories!

Recipe:
Layout Size - 12" x 12"
Frame Size - 11" x 11"
Outer, Corner & Butterfly Paper - Colorbok
Paper on Frame and Background - Stampin Up "Well Worn"
Sentiment -  ("Our Journey to the Great Outdoors") Colorbok
Butterfly Punch - Stampin Up
Inked Edges - I used Stampin Up "Early Espresso" Ink
ATG gun, Zig 2-Way Glue Pen, Pop Dots

Hope ya'll enjoy! Have a GREAT night!

My 2nd Challenge!

I've decided to have a challenge the 1st of every month now! Trying to come up with a name for my challenge still, so any suggestions are welcome!

For today's challenge, I'd like ya'll to create a project (card, layout, treat box, etc.) with some type of flower on it. So pretty much, anything goes... just make sure it has at least 1 flower on it!

Here's what I came up with! And this is actually for an order that came in. She wanted stationary cards with a flower and her initials on it... it came out nicely I think!

Now it's your turn! Have at it! And this time I will leave the challenge open for 2 weeks so you have plenty of time to enter! And after you submit your project be sure to leave a comment.

Ooo... and I almost forgot that one lucky winner will receive this great Cricut Cart:

Best of luck!
